Namaste, learn Hindi touch typing on the Krutidev (Remington) keyboard layout — the layout used in CPCT, SSC and court typing exams — through 10 step-by-step levels with live WPM and accuracy tracking. Score 90% accuracy to unlock the next level.
Most government typing exams in India — CPCT in Madhya Pradesh, High Court typing tests, and many state recruitment exams — test Hindi typing on the traditional Remington layout used by the Kruti Dev 010 font. Phonetic typing does not count in these exams, so candidates must learn the real typewriter layout.
This tutor teaches it row by row: the home row first, then the top and bottom rows, matras (मात्राएं), half letters (आधे अक्षर) on the Shift layer, and finally full words, sentences and a speed test. Remember the two typewriter rules: ि is typed before the consonant (f then the letter) and र् (reph) is typed after the cluster (Shift+Z).
Check your progress anytime with the Hindi typing speed test, keep the Krutidev keyboard chart beside you, and read the typing exam preparation guide if you are preparing for CPCT or similar tests. To convert existing Krutidev text, use the Krutidev to Unicode converter.
The Krutidev (Remington) layout — the traditional typewriter layout used by the Kruti Dev 010 font and required in many government typing exams like CPCT (MP), court typing tests and state-level recruitment.
Type the f key BEFORE the consonant — on a typewriter the ि glyph physically comes before the letter. For example कि is typed as f then d.
Type the cluster first, then press Shift+Z. For example धर्म is typed / k e Z — the र् appears above the previous letter, exactly like a typewriter.
